Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR)
Bucharest, May 27, 2024: The Saudi South East Europe Business Council (SSEEB) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR). This significant event took place on May 27th during the "Romania – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Business Session" held at the headquarters of the National Chamber in Bucharest.
The MoU signing marks a pivotal moment in enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Romania and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Attended by representatives of over 40 companies from both countries, the Business2Business (B2B) session following the signing showcased the mutual interest in fostering stronger business ties across various economic sectors.
Mr. Mihai Daraban, President of CCIR, highlighted the substantial growth in trade between Romania and Saudi Arabia, reaching 778 million euros at the end of the previous year. He emphasized the importance of establishing a practical framework for further development and cooperation, especially considering Saudi Arabia's thriving economic landscape and ongoing large-scale projects.
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mufarreh, President of SSEEB, expressed gratitude for the collaboration with CCIR, acknowledging Romania's significant role in promoting the business environment. He underscored the potential for further growth in the economic relationship between the two countries and welcomed the presence of Romanian government advisors and strong companies at the event, signaling a commitment to both economic and political cooperation.
