Economic Sector Contributions to Cyprus's GDP

In Cyprus, the services sector is the largest contributor to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), accounting for 72.4%. The tourism sector is particularly significant, with Cyprus known for its stunning natural landscapes, historical sites, and beaches. Other important services include financial services, maritime transport, telecommunications, information technology, healthcare, and education.

The industrial and mining sector is the second-largest contributor, making up 13.5% of the GDP. Key industries include shipbuilding and marine equipment, automotive manufacturing and parts, furniture production, electronics and electronic devices, food and beverage manufacturing, and the medical and chemical industries.

Agriculture contributes approximately 1.7% to the GDP. The primary agricultural products include olives, grapes for wine, fruits and vegetables, grains such as wheat, corn, barley, and oats, legumes, citrus fruits, almonds, pistachios, and walnuts.
