Economic Sector Contributions to Bosnia and Herzegovina's GDP
The services sector contributes the largest part of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at 54.4%. The tourism sector is one of the most important service sectors in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Tourist attractions in Bosnia and Herzegovina include the city of Sarajevo, Mount Trebević, the famous Mostar Bridge, and numerous national parks and mountain resorts. The services sector also includes financial services, telecommunications, and information technology. Additionally, it encompasses cargo transportation, storage, distribution, and higher education.
The industry and mining sector rank second, contributing 34.3% of the GDP. Key industries include automobile manufacturing and its parts, furniture manufacturing, textile and garment manufacturing, metal industries such as steel, aluminum, and copper, food and beverage manufacturing, and chemical industries.
Agriculture contributes around 11.3% of the GDP. Key agricultural crops include olives, grapes, milk, honey, fruits, and vegetables, as well as grains like wheat, corn, barley, oats, and crops used in feed manufacturing.
